Pet registrations are now overdue | Mirage News

Do you own a dog or a cat? If your pet is registered, you will have received your pet’s registration renewal notices for 2022-2023 earlier this year, with a due date of April 10. Thank you to everyone who paid the renewal on time!

If you haven’t paid for the renewal by the due date, you will have received a reminder notice within the past few weeks.

Please pay for the renewal as soon as possible. Under the Domestic Animals Act 1994, it is compulsory for all cats and dogs over the age of three months to be registered with the Council. If you are found to have an unregistered dog or cat, you could be fined $363 on the spot. These requirements help keep our beloved pets safe.

If you have a dog or cat and it is not yet registered, you can download an animal registration form here or pick one up at one of our advice offices, including mobile service.

To renew your pet’s registration or to update any information about your dog or cat, please call us on (03) 5772 0333.
