While they were eager to launch their new creation, Marty and Marilyn teamed up with Near Southside Inc. to help businesses in the region when needed to keep them going. The private non-profit organization is dedicated to revitalizing the medical district and its surrounding businesses and residential area.

This vision ended up creating the first virtual concert and fundraising format that was used throughout closures across the country.

We chose our table and then went through the menu, each choosing a different wine. It was hard! The Magnolia Wine Bar is retail, so the prices are much better for the customer, but are also very different, offering wines that are not seen in big box retailers. So much to experience!

We chose our wines and ordered hot mixed nuts to accompany them. Thomas Schmitt Kabinett was a perfect choice for my friend, who wanted something not sweet, but not dry. It was well balanced with ripe Granny Smith apples, hints of nectarine and pineapple mixed with hints of honey and a nice crunchy mineral finish.

The Vietti Moscato di ‘Asti is a formidable wine with delicate peaches, roses and ginger honey, ending in apricot.


Vietti Moscato di ‘Asti was chosen by my next friend, and this special frizzante did not disappoint. It was a real performance with delicate peaches, roses and honey ginger, ending with apricot.
